Lite-On has unveiled its new series of SSD drives, the Mu-II Series. The 2.5" inch drives connect to the computer using the SATA-3 interface and are available in capacities of 120, 240 and 480 GB.
They are equipped with 15nm TLC NAND from Toshiba with an unknown controller. The two largest capacities drives have specified sequential read speeds of 555 MB/s and sequential write speeds of 520 MB/s. The smallest, 120 GB drive is slightly slower with sequential reads specified at 500 MB/s and writes at 360 MB/s.
The Mu-II SSDs support both TRIM and NCQ. They have a MTBF of 2 million hours and come with a 3 year warranty.
Lite-on has not disclosed any information on pricing and availability.
