Media report breakthrough in super fast quantum computing

The Dutch media reports the finding of a Majorna particle. The existence of this particle was already predicted in the 30's based on the quantum theory, but never before this particle was really seen. Due usage of very small nano wires, superconducting material and magnetism, researchers of the Technical University of Delft, The Netherlands were finally able to make this particle visible. According to the researchers it's a big breakthrough in quantum mechanics.  By measuring a peak of electricity in the mentioned emplacement the particle was recognized and therefor the existence of particle was proven.

The Majorana particle is special because it has features no other particle has, the researchers are now going to sift through al its features to see how different the particle really is.

While at first glance this isn't interesting to computer enthusiasts, it is seen as an essential part of a quantum computer,  a new kind of computing which would result in super fast computers. While a quantum computer is still decades away, the finding of the Majorna particle is a key element in the further development of this kind of computer.
