Michael Dell: Interest in Windows 8 is high

Michael Dell, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of one of the largest PC manufacturers in the world, said during  the Dell World conference that  Microsoft's latest operating system is more popular than one might think when reading internet sites.

Bloomberg.com reports that Dell said during Dell World in Austin, Texas that the interest in Windows 8 is quite high.  Noteworthy is Dell's addition that it is also the case among business customers as they tend to be slower to install new software.

In a TV interview with U.S. cable channel CNBC  Dell also stated that he thinks that Windows 8 will have significantly more sales.  "Windows 8 makes us excited about the future of the PC", Dell said . "There are 1.5 billion PCs out there and we believe that a new upgrade wave is coming." (because many of them are due for an upgrade).
