Microsoft to end support of Office 2007 in October this year

Microsoft will end support for the popular Office 2007 suite within several months. After this date the software will no longer receive security updates. The Office 2007 RTM version was released on the 3rd of November when also Volume Licensing customers received the software. On January 30th the retail version of the software became available.

Office 2007 introduced a new user interface and the Office Open XML file format as a default format for Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Microsoft released 3 service packs for the Office suite.

On the 10th of October 2017 Microsoft will end support. Oracle previously stated to continue to support customers running Office 2007 although the tech giant advices customers to upgrade to a newer Office version.

Background

Change the background to a plain color or trianglified image (similar to the default image)

No tracking features

Switch to the List layout for an index with chronologycally listed news items or Grid layout for a block based layout. To see the change you need to reload the page
