Microsoft's digital assistant is designed to help users with basic tasks like sending emails, scheduling events, and using Bing to search devices, the cloud, or the web. Cortana can also show reminders and according Microsoft it can deliver them at the right time and place, "so you forget less and can do more".

The first beta of Cortana for iOS should become available soon and only for a limited number of testers.
