Technology heavyweight Microsoft has today launched a range of new hardware devices at its October 6th event.
Some of these products had been eagerly anticipated and predicted by the press however Microsoft's surprise of the show was the new Windows laptop which they've christened the "Surface Book". The Surface Book has already been raising eyebrows with its sleek looks and features a real, but still detachable keyboard, along a 13.5 inch 267 PPI display. The device weighs in at either 3.3 or 3.5 pounds depending on the exact configuration and Microsoft claims it's twice as fast as a MacBook Pro.
Also launched was an updated version of their fitness bracelet known as "Band 2" which features eleven sensors and a new curved design that echoes the shape of your wrist.
The much awaited Surface Pro 4 tablet was also featured and will be available later on this month for around $900.
Further devices include two new smart phones, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL, which feature 32GB of storage, dedicated camera buttons, and 20 megapixel cameras. Both are scheduled to be available in November.
Details of all these products are available from Microsoft's website here.
