Microsoft plans two more large updates to Windows 10 for 2017

Windows 10 will not get any large updates this year anymore but Microsoft has scheduled two large updates for next year. The first update should be released at the beginning of 2017, the second in the summer of next year. They are codenamed Redstone 2 and Redstone 3. This week's Anniversary Update was codenamed Redstone 1.

It's unknown what new features the two updates will add but it's expected that Microsoft will release the first Redstone 2 features to Windows Insiders soon. Earlier rumors said that Microsoft planned Redstone 2 for this year but had to reschedule because hardware Microsoft plans to release in the near future isn't properly supported yet.

The Redstone 2 update will also contain features that didn't make it to Redstone 1/Windows 10 Anniversary update. These should be mainly features added to Microsoft's own apps on Windows 10.
