Microsoft Edge, the name of the new browser that was previously called Spartan, now shows a page when opening a new tab and has a InPrivate mode. Also pinning of websites and an audio indicator per tab have been added. The changes continue to make a more mature browser of Edge. The Chakra engine, which powers Microsoft Edge, is currently faster than all other 64-bit browsers that have been tested with Google's Octane 2.0 and Apple's Jet Stream benchmarks.

It's important to note that current AMD drivers give issues with the browser, which is why it's advisable to switch to the slow-ring update channel when you have a videocard of AMD. The issue should be fixed soon, AMD and Microsoft work together on an improved driver. Other known issues can be found in this list.

The new build comes automatically available through the automatic updates.
