Microsoft releases Windows 10 build 10158 to Windows Insiders

Microsoft today released a new build of Windows 10 to subscribers of the Windows Insider program. Build 10158 contains many new features that were already part of the leaked 10147 build. Included are the Microsoft Edge browser and a changed notification centre. Today's build is likely the last build before Windows 10 receives the RTM status, according to Russian Microsoft leaker Wzor.msft_edge_darkThe build has become available for Windows Insiders subscribed to the 'fast ring'. Users that update need to take in account that the new Edge browser won't import favorites, cookies and browsing history of the older version. Users that want to keep those need to make a manual backup first.

Continuum has received several bugfixes and improved support for Win32 apps which can now be used on the same as Modern UI apps. Microsoft's digital assistant Cortana has improved looks compared to previous builds. Business users of this build can test the Office 356 integration.

Lastly the photo app has been revamped and it's possible to let the snipping-tool to wait for a couple seconds to make it easier to e.g. make screenshots of a context menu.

Microsoft continues to ask for feedback despite that Windows 10 will soon receive the RTM status, the Insider program will continue after the release of Windows 10.
