Mozilla patches 4 critical vulnerabilities and adds HTTP/2 support in Firefox 36

Mozilla released Firefox 36 yesterday which fixes 18 security vulnerabilities of which 4 so critical that only visiting a hacked or malicious website allowed attackers to take-over a computer.

Firefox 36 also adds support for the HTTP/2 protocol. HTTP/2 should make the web faster, better scalable and more responsive. Another change is phasing out certificates with 1024-bit RSA keys, something Mozilla announced last month already.

Besides Firefox also new versions of Firefox ESR and the e-mail client Thunderbird have been released, these users are advised to upgrade to version 31.5.

Updates can be performed using the browser and e-mail client or on Mozilla.org.
