Mozilla releases Firefox emergency update due crashes

Mozilla has released an unplanned emergency update with version number 35.0.1 due to all kinds of crashes and other issues. The update comes two weeks after the release of Firefox 35. The update fixes issues where the browser could crash when using the enhanced Steam Extension, Godaddy webmail and even when starting Firefox.

Firefox also had issues when displaying SVG and CSS animations on websites like openstreetmap.org. Also Right to Left (RTL) text selection was broken and there were issues with Kerberos authentication. An overview of all fixes can be found in the Firefox 35.0.1 changelog.

Updating to the last version can be done through the automatic update feature of the browser and through the Mozilla website.
