Mozilla tests free service to share encrypted files privately

Mozilla has developed a free service that allows users to share private, encrypted files. The service is called Send and can be used with any modern browser. Users can upload files through Send which are encrypted client-side, so even Mozilla can't see the contents.

After the file has been uploaded, a download link is generated. The user can send that link to someone else. Every by Send generated link will expire after 1 download, or 24 hours. As soon as the file is downloaded or the time has expired, the uploaded file is deleted from the Send server.

Send is currently in beta and requires no add-on or other installation of software.
