MyDigitalSSD announces SSDs for a cheap performance boost

The company MyDigitalSSD has introduced new SSDs that are made to give your PC a cheap performance boost.  The Super Cache2 drives use the mSATA interface and are build around 19 nm Toggle NAND coming from Toshiba.  The drives are available in capacities of 24 GB, 32 GB , 64 GB and 128 GB and cost $39.99, $42.99, $62.99 and $99.99 respectively.

The company provides a three year warranty and claims that their  Super Cache2 drives can increase your overall PC speed up to five times.

Cache SSDs work by storing the most frequently used data on the fast SSD while your other files remain on a slower hard disk. Solid State Hybrid Disks (SSHDs) are able to do this within their controller, but cache SSDs require additional software installed on the PC. To achieve this, MyDigitalSSD has chosen to bundle a license code of FNet HybriDisk caching software.

The SSDs contain a Phison S9 Series (PS3109) controller and the company claims that the combination of the Toshiba NAND and this controller should be good for read speeds up to 550 MB/s and write speeds of 430 MB/s. To protect the drive against power failures there is a battery backup function.
