We could speculate that Microsoft, like Google, would like its Windows OS on as many devices as possible for seamless operability. The camera could use the excellent Nokia Pureview technology and run a mobile Windows version. However Microsoft also holds several patents related to digital camera's which could mean the company bring innovation to the digital camera market.
