According to HDTVTest, Netflix will stream 4K content at a bitrate of 15.6 Mbps. TV sets that support streaming of Netflix 4K content should become available from LG, Samsung, Sony and Vizio.

While 4K might provide most benefits on large screens, the editors of HDTVTest claim that the 4K version of House of Cards was by far the best looking title they ever saw. Even making previous Super HD streams look blurry.

Besides Netflix, also Comcast is getting ready to start streaming 4K content. The internet provider hopes to launch a 4K video on demand application on Samsung TVs this year which should stream 4K content over its DOCSIS network at a bitrate of 18 - 20 Mbps, slightly more than Netflix offers.
