"New Office apps for Windows Phone to be revealed during Windows 10 event"

Microsoft will reveal new Office applications for Windows Phone during the Windows 10 event later this month, according to a post of Microsoft's Vice President of Windows Phone, Joe Belfiore on the Chinese social network Weibo.
In the post Belfiore responds to alleged frustrations of Windows Phone users. They would be frustrated that Microsoft released new Office apps for iOS and Android but not for its own Windows Phone operating system. According Belfiore, Microsoft will save announcements for its mobile platform for the Windows 10 event that will be held January 21.
"We're just aligning all of our news and announcements to a single event", according to Belfiore. During the January event the consumer version of Windows 10 is likely revealed and this gives us the impression that the to be announced Office apps for Windows Phone are specifically developed for Windows 10.
Earlier Microsoft stated all smartphones running Windows Phone 8 or higher will receive an update to the new operating system. Windows 10 will run on desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones and Microsoft's console the Xbox One. The official launch of the successor of Windows 8 is expected in autumn 2015.
