Official MSI forum admins and mods revolt - start new forum

MSI, worldwide known manufacturer of mainboards, graphic cards, laptops and more seems to suffer from a revolt of their support forum admins and mods. In an e-mail send to current users of the MSI Support forum the previous admins and mods don't explain the entire reasoning, but it's clear that MSI corporate tried to enforce a new policy on which the users disagreed.

But administrator of the new forum going by the name 'Bas' states on the forum  "Database : cleaned old MSI database, as we don't want trouble with MSI". This indicates that the team had access to the data and member information of the MSI support forum and took that to their new forum.

Below the mail that the former mods and admins have send

As a registered member of the MSI User-to-User forum, you have been mailed for information purposes only.

As you may be aware, the MSI moderator-team quit their positions at the MSI HQ Forum. There are a couple of events that preceded the eventual decision.  The main reason being that independent administration and moderation allowed us to maintain one of the best hardware forums in the past.  This was hindered by corporate interference and a decision to control the forum by MSI themselves.

The result was a decline in user support, something the team was not prepared to accept, as we believe in providing the users with the best support.  We are here to help you!  After much deliberation as to how best to rectify the situation, we have made a decision to start a new forum - to be the best. An independent unofficial MSI support forum: http://www.msi-users.com

In this forum we will help you with any product that has the word MSI printed on it, including OEM products, if we can. We are also prepared to help you with other brands, as long as the problem has some link with an MSI product. We would like invite you to join our forum and trust that we can continue to provide you with the service you have become used to.

This mail is not intended as spam, as such we will never contact you again about this, ergo no need to unsubscribe anywhere.

Greetz,

The MSI-users forum team.

Earlier the MSI forum seems to have suffered from script injection, but according to the MSI admin no data was compromised.
