American SSD vendor Patriot today announced a 2TB SSD that is part of its Ignite series. The drive should become available by the end of this year and is Patriot's highest capacity drive in its line of high-end, Phison controller powered, SSDs.
Earlier this year the company introduced 240GB, 480GB and 960GB drives in the Ignite series. In the fourth quarter of this year also the 2GB Ignite SSD should become available.
The 2.5" form-factor drive connects to the computer using SATA-3. The unknown NAND combined with the Phison S10 controller should be able to achieve maximum sequential read and write speeds of 560MB/s and 500MB/s respectively.
