Philips recently introduced two new MP3 players which will be added to the company’s GoGear MP3 player line-up, with the company taking aim at the European market this spring.

The GoGear Ariaz MP3 player has touch-sensitive buttons, 2-inch screen, FM radio, and includes MPEG-4 video support.  Philips will offer the Ariaz with 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB storage capacities for 79 euros, 99 euros, or 129 euros.

Ariaz also has Philips-created FullSound technology, aimed at increasing bass, treble and stereo imaging of MP3 files so the sound is crystal clear.

In addition to the GoGear Ariaz, Philips also introduced the GoGear Opus, which is more focused on higher storage capacity.  It has a 2.8-inch screen, 320 x 240 display, and has Bluetooth support along with BBC iPlayer support.  The Opus has 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB storage capacities for 99 euros, 147 euros or 179 euros.

Philips expects to release both MP3 players this April.

Nice to see they come with decent earphones, Apple should do the same instead of those awful plastic junk that comes with an average iPod
