The M6e Black Edition comes with PlexTurbo 2.0, a SSD caching utility which according to Plextor analyzes data read and written to avoid unnecessary writes. This should reduce writes to the SSD and prevent memory data loss when the PC crashes or the power goes out.

The SSDs also feature Plextor's True Speed Technology which should prevent drops in speeds after prolonged use in a real-world environment. Plextor specifies read/write speeds of up to 770/625 MB/s in sequential mode, and 105K/100K IOPS for random read/write operations.

The drives also support Duo BIOS which allow selection of Legacy or UEFI BIOS as the boot disk without installing extra drivers and Plextor specifies a MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of 2.4 million hours.
