Popcorn Time releases Android app and allows anonymous video streaming

A popular version of the illegal video streaming service Popcorn Time will get an Android app and a paid VPN function which allows users to stream video anonymously. Popcorn Time.io announced this on their blog.

Popcorn Time is technology behind an illegal videostreaming service which is used by two big players, Popcorn-time.se and Popcorntime.io.  The latter is following the example of the more known Popcorn-time.se and now also released an Android app and VPN function.

Like the desktop version, also the Android app streams movies and series. "We have big plans for it, including all kinds of amazing features", according to the team of Popcorn Time.io.

Users also have the possibility to stream anonymously using a VPN which hides their IP address. The VPN requires a paid subscription which users can try for $1 per month. After the first month the subscription is $4.99 a month,

Popcorn Time uses torrent files to download video files and distribute them allowing users to stream video that can be viewed inside the app.
