The ISPs have to block domains of the two Popcorn Time forks popcorntime.io and popcorn-time.se. Besides that, also flixtor.me and isoplex.isohunt.to have to be blocked as well as 4 other websites that offer content without the underlying Bittorrent protocol. The court does make a difference between Popcorn Time sites and "regular" sites and therefore judges the Popcorn Time sites differently.

According to the court, The Popcorn Time sites offer an app that facilitates users in wide access to copyrighted content. The judge also ruled that Popcorn Time doesn't serve any legitimate goal as nobody uses Popcorn Time to view legal content. The developers of Popcorn Time are indifferent about their legal position.

None of the ISPs has so far objected to the requirement of the court which means it will only be a matter of time before the sites are no longer accessible in the UK.  In practice, blockades hardly work,  when a blockade on torrent sites like Kickass Torrents and EZTV was imposed by the British courts, there were plenty of other websites and proxies available within a short time.

The lawsuit was filed by the Motion Picture Association of America and six major media companies. The document from the court concludes that Popcorn Time is an application without legitimate justification.
