Users of Goodblock can opt to see one curated advertisement per day, and with that one they support a charity. But 77% of the surveyed users still feels guilty about blocking advertisements, only 23% feels no guilt at all.

One third of the users surveyed also notes that they visit another site if a site only allows users that whitelist them. However more than half of the users, 56.8 percent, will still whitelist the site to contribute to the site's advertising revenue.

Annoying advertisements are for about half the users the reason to install an adblocker. About 22% uses adblock software to speed up load times and about 16% uses an ad blocker because they hate all ads. Only 2.9% is concerned about privacy and therefore uses an adblocker.

Users who want to try Goodblock can get it here. So far the users of the software raised nearly $288,000 for charity.
