Samsung reveal their latest potential iPhone beater!

Samsung have recently showcased their latest flagship Smartphone at Earl's Court in London, the Galaxy S III, which is currently scheduled to officially launch first in Europe on the 30th of May, followed by Asia, the Middle East, Africa, then the US later this summer. Details have been keenly awaited as the success of their previous model, the Galaxy S II, is widely considered by analysts to be the primary reason that Samsung recently overtook Nokia as the world's number one best selling mobile phone manufacturer.

This latest addition to Samsung's range of phones features a number of advanced features not least of which is a large 4.8in 720p super AMOLED touch screen with a virtual keyboard. Samsung have had success recently with larger sized tablet/phones such as the Galaxy Note so it's no surprise to see this upgraded screen which is approximately 22% larger than the screen on the Galaxy S II and significantly bigger than the 3.5in screen on the iPhone.

The Galaxy S III has two cameras, an 8 megapixel rear facing camera and a 1.9 megapixel front facing camera which supports what Samsung describes as 'Intelligent camera features' such as 'Smart stay' (this recognises when you're looking at the phone and maintains the screen brightness, only dimming the display when you eventually look away). Further advanced features include 'S Voice' voice recognition which seems to be Samsung's answer to Apple's 'Siri' voice recognition feature.

The phone itself is a slim 8.6mm thick and runs the latest version 4.0 of Google's Android operating system, code named Ice Cream Sandwich, on a quad core Exynos processor. Samsung claim that this more powerful processor doesn't significantly affect battery life due to the advanced power saving features such as 'Smart stay'.
