The Micro SDXC card for "Premium Sound" has a capacity of 64GB and with its $153 MRSP it costs about 5 times more than a regular Micro SDXC card. A Sony spokesman told the Wall Street Journal, "“We aren’t that sure about the product’s potential demand, but we thought some among people who are committed to great sound quality would want it."

Sony advertises use of the card combined with their high resolution 128GB Walkman which sells at $1199.99.  Whether this memory card will really contribute to improved sound quality remains a question.
