SandForce SSD controller would hit the streets soon.

Meet the OCZ Vertex LE

The OCZ Vertex LE is based on the SandForce SF1500 SSD controller, which had been
thought, would be reserved for enterprise grade storage. The Vertex LE will be
produced in limited numbers, so if you want one, don’t hang around.

The Vertex LE will be available in two capacities, 100GB, and 200GB. The 100GB
version has already been spotted for pre-order at overclockers.co.uk, priced at £309 Inc VAT.

There are not many benchmarks available of the Vertex LE, but with sequential read/write speeds
of 270MBps/250MBps and max 4K write IOPS of 15,000, the OCZ Vertex LE will be the fastest
SATA 3Gbps drive on the market by a significant margin.

With this level of performance, the OCZ Vertex LE will be pushing SATA 3Gbps to its limits.
