StarTech today announced availability of their 2-Bay Thunderbolt disk drive enclosures. These devices have room for two HDDs or SSDs and features options to help prevent heat build-up within the case, for a cooler operating environment, including a built-in fan and a solid aluminum chassis for maximum airflow and heat dissipation.
Each enclosure comes with a 1-meter Thunderbolt cable, which allows for data transfers up to 10 Gbps. It has a built-in Thunderbolt daisy chain port and supports HDDs or SSDs, up to 2TB capacity per drive
The MSRP for the StarTech.coms S252SMTB3 Dual-Drive Thunderbolt enclosure is £246.30 (GBP exc. VAT) ( €295.95 /$ 404.35).
