Teenager dies after 40 hours of Diablo 3 – didn’t even eat

So let me get this straight, this jackass sat STILL for 40-plus hours and this caused him to throw a clot that killed him.

I thought playing these games got you bouncing around a little bit handling the controller.He had to have some movement going on there.

I think this reporter does not like gaming.

The news says it was an internet cafe. It's nothing new. People die working and walking, even eating and sleeping, so why not during or after playin games?

No, most people don't realize that when you engage with any type of multimedia, particularly gaming it raises your blood pressure and stress levels. 40 hours of non-stop stress and increased cardio in a sedentary position is a recipe for an early death, although in some cases, apparently an acute case of myocardial infrarction.

So, get up and walk around every few hours! Also, try not to stress out...
The lack of food and/or water probably also contributed to the medical risk of dying... An unstressed person can go about a week w/o food, but only 2-3 days without water... add the stress, and it's much less..

In the early days of the Internet Japan & Korea were having issues with people being too addicted and having various massive health problems as a result. In some countries there are laws in-place to prevent just these kinds of things..

He went 40 hours without a bathroom break? That's just sad.
