Toshiba today announced their Q Series Pro SSDs. The drives will be available in capacities of 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB and have a height of 7 mm. That height makes them of the slim type and it's should be no surprise Toshiba targets the drives for Ultrabook usage.
The Q Series Pro SSDs come with a mounting spacer to make them fit in laptops with traditional full-height 9.5mm drive bays. The SSDs also come with migration software to help transfer data from existing drive to the SSDs. Unfortunately Toshiba has not disclosed any specifications on the drives.
Toshiba provides a 3-year limited warranty and the drives will be available for purchase in late October 2013. The 128GB model will be $159.99 MSRP, the 256 GB model will be $309.99 MSRP, and the 512 GB model will be $739.99 MSRP.
