Touch to become more important in Windows Blue

A video has been leaked in which Microsoft states that touch will become more important in Windows Blue, the expected large update to Window 8. The last couple of weeks there have been a lot of rumors on Windows Blue but its existence has never been officially0 confirmed. Now it is mentioned in a leaked video where a Microsoft employee talks openly about a 'new version of Windows' and another one talks about Windows Blue.

The video was shot during TechFest, a Microsoft internal conference and was never meant to become public. Nevertheless the website MSFTKitchen decided to put it online.  The video demonstrates Windows Fresh Paint, an impressive, touch based drawing application from Microsoft.

We see Charlotte Pereira, the creative director of Fresh Paint  demonstrating the current version of the software and she also states 'what Microsoft is creating for Windows Blue'.  This is the first official confirmation that Windows Blue is real and coming.

We also see Eric Rudder, Chief Technical Strategy from Microsoft. He states that touch will become more important in the next version of Windows. He doesn't give much details, but possibly there will be more ways to control Windows through touch than currently possible.

Windows 8 has been the first Windows version that is optimized for touch screens. Microsoft introduced the Metro Interface which works with live updating tiles and has been heavily criticized by reviewers and users around the web.
