Users with the Windows 10 Anniversary update complain their system fully freezes after they upgraded. When they login, their system freezes for a couple of seconds and then becomes unresponsive. It's unclear what causes the issues.
The complaints are bundled in a Reddit thread with currently 600 comments. The issues appear not to be related to any specific hardware. While there isn't a specific recommended solution, some users report they solved the issues by making a registry change that makes sure applications are installed on the system disk or installing or updating the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver (See update 12 below).

Users who still have issues can (temporarily) uninstall the Windows 10 Anniversary update because it only contains new features and doesn't resolve any security issues. Earlier this week we reported there were issues with Linux partitions when the Anniversary update was installed.
