Verizon provides the best prime-time Netflix streaming experience in the United States according to Netflix's ISP Speed Index of this month. The top 5 of fastest ISPs is completed by Bright House, Cablevision - Optimum, Cox and Charter.
Except for the number one, Verizon (fiber), the ISPs are all cable based. The first American DSL only ISP on the list is AT&T DSL followed by Windstream and Verizon DSL.
Virgin provides the best prime-time Netflix streaming experience in the United Kingdom, followed by BT, Plusnet, TalkTalk and Sky. In Germany the number one on the list is Kabel Deutschland, followed by UnityMedia KabelBW, NetCologne, M-Net and EWE.
Indian ISPs that top the list are airtel, Spectranet, ATRIA, Hathaway and YOU broadband. In Italy the top 5 consists of Fastweb, Vodafone Italy, Tiscali, Wind and Telecom Italia. In the Netherlands the fastest ISP is Caiway, followed by Zeelandnet, Ziggo, KPN and XS4all.
The Dutch Caiway (3.98) is the fastest ISP in our list, followed German number one, Kabel Deutschland (3.83) and second is the number one of the United Kingdom, Virgin (3.74) followed by Verizon (3.61) in the United States and Italy's number one Fastweb (3.31). India's number one airtel (2.23) is the last on our list.
