VSO releases major updates to Blu-ray and DVD converters

French software development company VSO Software has released updates to their applications Blu-ray Converter Ultimate 2 and DVD Converter 2. According to the company the new versions are major updates of both applications that can be used to convert and burn decrypted Blu-ray videos and DVDs. The update should bring an easier interface, more control over video customization and increased performance. The performance increase should be achieved due to the usage of DXVA2, which makes hardware accelerated video decoding possible and is in this release supported usable on Intel, Nvidia and ATI graphic cards.

VSO mentions another improvement in the update,  the option to use 2-pass conversion which should be  an improvement of the quality of the resulting video. Both applications are able to convert video to a large collection of output formats,  including consoles, tablets and mobile phones. They are available as a 30 day trial and can be downloaded from the VSO software website.
