Windows 10 has ruined the weather. Not literally obviously, but during a broadcast of the American TV station KCCI weather woman Metinka Slater is disturbed by a 'Microsoft recommends to upgrade to Windows 10' popup.

Apparently the TV station runs on Windows 7 and has fast enough PCs to upgrade, the popup shows the PC is compatible. Fortunately the weather woman is able to make a small joke before she continues her report.
Nevertheless, the 'upgrade to Windows 10' popups are a big annoyance for many users. Microsoft has become increasingly aggressive in trying to convince Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users to upgrade to its latest operating system. Disabling the pop-ups is useless, they are enabled again after each update.
Fortunately there are many tools available that block Microsoft from updating Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 systems. Both GWX Control Panel and Never10 make sure that the popups are gone and that Windows isn't installed without the user's consent.
