In a blow to the male ego, a UK survey has found women would rather part with their boyfriends than their cell phones.
The poll of 4000 women in the UK found that 40 percent would be "devastated' if they lost their phones, ranking phones as their third most valuable possession.
The survey by British pawnbroker Borro found the majority of women see their mother as their most prized possession followed closely by their photographs, mobile phone and best friend.
Boyfriends come fifth in the list, placing them above diamond rings, pets, laptops and hair straighteners.
