At the moment the popular video site Youtube.com is suffering from a world-wide outage. Users from all around the world report that they receive error messages. Users report they see error 500 and 502 messages and are sometimes asked to fill in a Captcha (anti spam measure). Some users report they can see videos, but only have comments disabled.
The error 500 message goes along with a long string of random characters, and the sentence, "Sorry, something went wrong. A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation. If you see them, show them this information."
The issue seems to have started around 16:30 (4:30 pm) GMT, which means that at the time of writing it's been down for nearly an hour already. The official Youtube Twitter account has not responded so far. It's the second time in two days that Youtube suffers from a long lasting outage.
