DVD-R/RW Writing performances

 

 

 

 

 

DVD-R media compatibility and write quality:

In these tests we will be using a Lite-On DH20A3P with firmware XV5H or our Lite-On DH20A3H with firmware YV64 along with CD-Speed to measure the disc quality. We will also be using the BenQ DW-1655 with firmware BCID or our Optiarc AD-7200A with firmware 1.Z3 along with CD-Speed for our read-back tests.

The result is excellent with this very popular Taiyo Yuden media burned at 16X.

Overall good qualities write with our verbatim test disc.

The ASUS BC-06B1ST writes to this Philips media with very good results.

A PIF spike of 5 with this media from Sony otherwise the write is within specifications for a good quality burn.

The ASUS BC-06B1ST produces a very good quality burn with this FujiFilm media.


DVD-RW media compatibility and write quality:

For this test we used the same testing procedures as in our DVD-R tests.

Very good quality when writing our Verbatim DVD-RW test media.

Summary:

The ASUS BC-06B1ST writes to our various test media with overall very good results.

Excellent quality while burning our DVD-RW test Disc.
