Here are a few pictures of the package:

Here is the box it came shipped in. Clearly states the write, ReWrite and read speeds. The seamless link logo is also shown. But what’s inside the box?

This is what we found:
- The drive
- An audio cable
- 4 screws
- A DOS driver floppy.
- One empty 80 minute CD-R disc (Manufactured by Acer Media technology)
- One empty 74 minutes CD-RW disc (Manufactured by CMC Magnetics)
- A Multilanguage CD-RW quick installation guide.
- A Multilanguage Nero operating guidelines manual.
- A small paper showing how to enable DMA for the writer.
- A small paper showing how to write 80 minutes discs in Nero.
- A Nero burning ROM 5.5 CD containing:
- Ahead Nero Burning ROM 5.5.7.1
- Ahead Nero Media player
- Ahead InCD
- Adobe Acrobat reader in various languages.
- Copy driver files or install driver files for DOS.
- Manuals for both internal, external and firewire devices in various languages, pdf format.
- Nero manuals in pdf format.

The front of the drive, definitively one of the better looking drives. Looks less boring than for example Lite-On.

The back of the drive, all the usual connectors, along with four undocumented pins at the left side…

This is the sticker on the drive, our sample was produced in China, March 2002. Originally it was shipped with firmware V.HW but when we got it it had firmware V.OW installed which is the latest version.
Summary
What we have here is a good looking CD-RW drive, it also have a play button which very few CD-RW drives have. The front is a bit rounded and looks pretty good, we can’t complain about the look
Now it’s time to take a look at the features of this drive…

Nice review from OC-Freak, again. I got a computer magazine this week and it told the same about the BenQ. But on the other hand, for 47$, that's as much as a normal CD-ROM
