LabelPrint—the Smart Way to Personalize Your DVD Labels

The LabelPrint tool uses the by now familiar step-by-step method of walking the user through the label creation process and supports a wide range of pre-formatted CD and DVD label and inlay templates. It also supports LightScribe drives that can write labels directly to LightScribe CDs and DVDs. LabelPrint does offer a solution without needing to get a separate program to handle the task. When combined with LightScribe, it has the possibility of labeling all the CDs and DVDs in a user’s collection.

Let’s take that verbatim “colored background” LightScribe disc and burn a label to it.

Once again, we open “PowerStarter” and then under “utilities” select “Print a disc label”, opening the LabelPrint program for the step-by-step process.  Below we see “step 1”.

Having selected a LightScribe label we go on to step 2 to edit our disc information.  You will need a LightScribe enabled burner to use the LightScribe feature of LabelPrint.  We will burn our LS label using our ASUS DRW-2014L1T drive.

Now let’s get to the fun part where we will construct or label at step 3.

We used the toolbar seen above the label to add our images and text.  Satisfied with the layout of our label we move on to step 4 to print “burn” the label to our verbatim LightScribe media.

Our label was burned with “best” (darkest) mode; let’s take a look at the finished disc.

As you can see from the images above, LabelPrint is straight forward and easy program to use.

Having tested a LabelPrint, let’s open up “PowerBackup” and have a closer look at that component.
