Review Part 2: OCZ Vertex 120GB SSD |
Only a few short weeks ago, we reviewed the OCZ Technology Vertex series 120GB SSD. Since then, OCZ Technology has released a firmware update for their Vertex series drives, which is claimed to increase sequential writing performance without sacrificing the IOP performance of the Vertex series drives.
In this update we will run the same tests as we carried out in our Vertex series review which tested the drive with its shipping firmware, and compare the performance of the new 1199 firmware with the results we obtained during our OCZ Technology Vertex series review.
We will also add one additional test that was requested by the CD Freaks members, and will also run that test on the comparison HDD in that section of the review.
