Conclusion:

Please notice that this review and all of our tests was made on an early sample of the PlexEraser PX-0E100E, so the final product could operate differently and use other hardware.

To sum it all up, this is what we would say:

‘Our opinion about this device is that we strongly believe that this product is not in the first line aimed for the private and normal everyday user, but rather for Companies, Organizations, Financial institutions, Hospitals/Medical institutions, Government departments, Military and Research establishments, which wants to destroys sensitive data stored on CD/DVD in an environmentally and friendly way.

As a bottom line we would like to quote Plextor ‘“ The PlexEraser enables discs to be destroyed without the organic dye leaking from the disc – something not possible with a disc shredder/manual shattering“.

By using our price grabber feature cdfreaks.pricegrabber we did not find any offers, and the same goes for getprice. However the device is listed at Japanese online shops for 25.000 YEN, which is around 168 EUR or 213 USD (September 2006).

I love this program. I really like the ability to auto-resize the spline of full size dvd covers to 7mm slim case.
