DVD-R media compatibility and write quality:
In these tests, we will be using the NEC ND-3520A to read back the DVD-R’s.

This 16x media was written at 12x. KProbe reported high PI errors and near the end – very high PIF errors. The disc was not readable at the end, where the high PIF errors where reported.

To sum it up: The write quality on DVD-R could have been better, and overall there is room for improvement on both DVD+R and DVD-R media.
