Box Front

Box Rear

Box Left and Right

Box Top and Bottom

OK, let’s take a look at the drive itself:

The scan of the face of this drvie does not do it justice; the face is a nice reflective coating presenting a mirror effect. On the drive tray from left to right we have a Compact Disc Ultra Speed ReWriteable logo, a sticker with Dual RW Drive – Double Layer – Dual Layer, SONY logo, DVD Multi Recorder logo and finally a DVD Alliance (DVD+R/RW) logo.  The eject button is located on the right side as you are looking at this photo; should you use the ”stand” to use the drive in a vertical position it would be on the top.

Top

Drive Sticker

On the left (if not in the stand) or on the bottom (if in the stand) of the drive we found a sticker that shows it was made in Indonesia and has a production date of September 2006.

Drive Left

Rear

From left to right: USB2 connection, Power switch and electrical connection.

Now, let us connect the drive and check out the features, program bundle and writing technology on the next page…

Managed to burn 10 to 15 DVD's, now it will not burn anymore. I've used AnyDVD + CloneDVD2, Nero 7 Ultra, Ashampoo Burning Studio 7, AoA, and DVD Shrink + DVD Decryptor. For blank media, I've tried Memorex, Maxell, Sony, and "Generic". End result: I've wasted/ruined 25 blanks. Anyone else have similar issues?

I lost my software CD and it was only installed on my old laptop. Can anyone tell me where I can get a copy of it? I asked Sony tech support and they wanted me to pay for $19 to get a replacement.
