just purchased the drive [drx-830u] roxio doesn't like it and neither does xp it appears. after installing the drive i took a look under the device manager hood and found that the universal driver setting for the drive is listed as unknown device. i have yet to be able to find a driver for it and because of this problem.. roxio emc 8 doesn't see the drive. i hate nero to the max. any help is greatly appreciated. mix2plix

Managed to burn 10 to 15 DVD's, now it will not burn anymore. I've used AnyDVD + CloneDVD2, Nero 7 Ultra, Ashampoo Burning Studio 7, AoA, and DVD Shrink + DVD Decryptor. For blank media, I've tried Memorex, Maxell, Sony, and "Generic". End result: I've wasted/ruined 25 blanks. Anyone else have similar issues?

I lost my software CD and it was only installed on my old laptop. Can anyone tell me where I can get a copy of it? I asked Sony tech support and they wanted me to pay for $19 to get a replacement.
