What’s a Discfolio?

Let’s take a look at what the Discfolio is: The Discfolio is a compact carry and storage case that easily unfolds allowing quick access to all your discs. Let’s take a closer look at the Discfolio.

For this review we were sent the Blue cloth and the Black leather Discfolio’s.

Blue Cloth

Black Leather

Blue unfolded half way

Black Leather unfolded all the way

As we can see once unzipped the Discfolio neatly unfolds giving you the ability to store 90 discs!

Now let’s look at the overall dimensions of the Discfolio.

Discfolio closed width is 20"

Discfolio closed height is 7"

Discfolio extended width is 31"

Discfolio extended height is 20"

We have all used CD/DVD cases to store and transport our discs at one time or another but what makes the Discfolio unique is its ability to fold up and out quickly. The Discfolio has nice and soft non-scratch cloth to protect your discs in both storage and transport. The perfectly sized disc openings allow you to insert or remove discs with less chance of scratching or fingerprints, yet keeping the discs firmly in place.

Discs stored

Now we filled the Discfolio to its maximum capacity of 90 discs, tipped it upside down and gave it a few good shakes to see if any discs would fall out. We did have a few fall out but this really shouldn’t be a big deal unless you’re careless with your discs.

Discs filled

While we had our Discfolio filled up we had no problem zipping the case closed, the case is just a little thicker being full.

Case full and closed

Now for a little torture test, while the case was closed and full of discs we dropped the it down a flight of carpeted stairs a few time. This had no affect on the discs at all, they stayed securely in place.

Discs after drop

This concludes our Discfolio review, let’s head on to the last page to read our Conclusion…

Sleek designs?!? BARF!! The craftsmenship of the "Discfolio" is among the shoddiest I've ever laid my eyes upon. It's like a bad imitation purse from China sewn by a blind 7yo. While novel in design, it seems that corners were cut in it's production. With this quality of craftsmenship, has CDFreaks even "owned" AND used a Discfolio long enough to see if it'll hold together?!? I think not. I wouldn't even take this product if I won it with 50 arcade tickets, much less pay $20 for it. This product definately doesn't warrant 4 outta 5 stars... and CDFreaks are likely to be eating they're own words real soon on this one. :r

I really meant to respond to this "comment" earlier, but I actually forgot about it. Did you even buy a Discfolio? Probably not. I have had great reviews from many credible sources and they love the product and say it is well made. It displays an entire collection of CDs in the most efficient way possible. This CD case has been wonderfully designed and redesigned over several years and I am very proud of it.

Why don't you actually take a look at a product before you trash it. You make me want to BARF on you. What idea have you come up with?

I purchased a Discfolio about a couple of weeks ago and love it. I needed something just like this to store my discs, it's great because it holds a huge amount and I hate to keep my discs in a bunch of seperate cases and I can't stand those huge bulky cases. Cool product.

Why is this in the blank media section?

It is an ideal CD case for blank media. Label the tops of your burned discs and your library looks great.
