I found the output DVD to be too blocky to be honest. This was when I converted an Xvid movie to DVD. Perhaps its just Xvid inputs that the quality is low on. /shrug

I too found the output too blocky. I believe this is related to the fact that you can't set the output resolution, (DVD standard allows 3 resolutions). Of the programs I've played with only DVDSanta allows you to specify the resolution.

humm reviews like this makes me wonder about others I read.... This software is one of the worst of its kind. I've tested more than 10. My rank: 6.5/10 - output quality 3/10 - smoth playback (23.976 > 25fps sucks) 9/10 - easy to work It have good potencial if they correct the smoth problem in all conversions I've made ntsc > pal (every second looks like is missing frames) and If the output quality gets a little better. winavi and dvdsanta are not better than this program (they are faster but not better) and they dont suport selectable subtitles. Just google a little and you will find FREE better programs that will do all this with better quality. they are difficult to learn in the down side. just my 2cents..

I use this program with TV rips and it only works with a few rippers. Shows by LOL do work. All others do not (TVL, UMD, CTU). I am sure it is a combination of people not ripping correctly and the program not figuring out to handle various differences. The TV rips do play fine on the computer pre-divx-to-dvd.

seems slow, and also seems to set the bitrate VERY low, resulting in the blockiness a few posters above have reported. It results in files 1 GB for 1 hour of movie, or thereabouts. I feel dvdsanta does a better job, simply by allocating more bitrate to the resultant vobs, but it does seem to work. If you really want the qual its better to use CCE

This program does not give me option to take away any boarders from the movie, and is quit slow to convert, I have moved to WINAVI, much faster and gives a lot more control over your final frame size and shape. Sorry but WinAVI does it for me.

Used with AnyDVD by itself, or used with AnyDVD combined with DVD Shrink (Google to download Shrink), CloneDVD2 does the job of copying your movie into either an ISO file, so you can burn the DVD now, or save it (the ISO file) to burn later. CloneDVD2 is worth the price, along with free lifetime updates if you purchase it!!

OK; I've been using AnyDVD and CloneDVD for over a year now (I purchased it). If you\\\'re having trouble, it could be something you are doing wrong because for me everything turns to gold with this software and the customer support was great which is very rare in the day and age. If problems, email support (they do help !)

CloneDVD2 & AnyDVD has never done me wrong. Burned over 200 movies not one coaster! Fast easy, and it just works. I would look to see that you don't have another program like DVD43, etc that my conflict with AnyDVD or if you are trying to copy a protected movie are you even using AnyDVD? Like I said for me it's worth the money, but YMMV.

Remember, you have to continue to update AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 because dvd protection is continously updated. Plus, your burner slowly craps out for every burn evenually not working any. Plus, sometimes you have to read and burn at slower than rated speeds for both the drive and the media. Buy the software, keep it updated and buy a good drive. Good luck!! :^) Andy

Why dont you convert the movie to AVI or MP4 and save on a HDD, much easier and cheaper but you do need AnyDVD. I haven't bought any discs for 2 years now, no stacks of nasty scratchy discs anymore by my TV :B

I use DVD FAB. Platinum to burn 99.9% of all my movies; and if that does not work I use DVDX Copy Platinum. That’s what I use to do movies; when it comes to ISO, I use Alcohol, Nero or Copy to DVD Now. When burning files I use Nero, Copy to DVD Now. When I downloaded DVD FAB Platinum from BIT- Soup I stopped using Shrink, had no need for it anymore. I never liked the sheep to begin with.

Has anybody else using Clone DVD2 started having playback issues i.e. Skipping, freezing and just completely stopping after they downloaded the last update 2.9.1.9 ? I never had a problem before but, now out of the blue or at least since (I think) the last update a 90% failure rate. Any DVD seems to be working fine however. The burner is only about 7 or 8 months old. Any suggestions?

DVD Clone coupled with ANYDVD is an awesome combination. I have used the product for over a year. I have cloned over 100 DVD's and the only problem I ever had was with a batch of bad Memorex media. I had a 50 spindle of Memorex DL DVD's and not one would record past 50% and Memorex refused to do anything about it. Buy DVD Clone and AnyDVD. You won't be disappointed. www.slysoft.com

I have all of my movies on computer in ISO format. Is there anything that will play them directly without mounting to a virtual drive first?
