Compatibility with older drives

At this point I also wanted to check the compatibility when burning MDISCs with older non-MDISC certified drives, and my first choices would be to try drives that many people here at MyCE consider to be some of the best drives that were ever made. The two drives are the BENQ 1650 and the Optiarc 7200A, unfortunately the BENQ wasn’t able to burn the test disc, so I will only post the results of the Optiarc 7200A.

As we can see the Transfer Rate isn’t smooth, this result can be considered as poor.

The one thing that people need to take into consideration is that compatibility with older drives isn’t very good, so it’s advisable to stick with the drives that officially support the MDISC technology.
