My first test will be done with the LG BP40NS20, the drive was provided to me by Millenniata and it’s based on the RENESAS chipset, the drive is capable of burning MDISC at a max speed of 4x. You can expect a full review of this drive very soon.

It only took 15 minutes and 31 seconds to complete the burning task, an excellent result for an external drive.

The Optiarc had no issues reading the disc, and the TRT is flawless.

Both scans on both drives are showing some impressive results, the burn quality of the MDISC on the LG BP40NS20 can only be taken as excellent.
