Stability, good pricing, alongside a good
warranty, are the main reasons why most of the time I buy or recommend Kingston
memory. There comes a moment though that you need something extra in the speed,
and also in the aesthetics department, so you need to look somewhere else. So
HyperX comes to the rescue, and their Fury DDR4 is an excellent choice. There
is also their Savage DDR4 RAM that offers this little extra.

Thanks to HyperX I am able to test the
4x4GB DDR4 2400 kit, but before I move forward with my review, you might want
to take a look at the HyperX website, so click here.

Now I can start this review, and as always
I will begin with the packaging and its contents.

Packaging

The packaging is the same as the HyperX
Fury RAM
that I tested previsouly, a big sticker on the outside with all
the information you need about the memory kit, and a peek at the RAM.

Opening the box, and inside you will find the
four DIMMs of RAM neatly packed with a HyperX sticker plus a warranty and
installation guide booklet.

Time to move one to the RAM, and take a closer
look at it.

The front of the HyperX Savage. The design
of the heat sink is different from the Fury RAM, and as you can see from the
picture it’s also low profile, so you should not have any issues with most CPU
coolers.

At the back of the HyperX Savage you will
find a sticker that has information about timings, warranty, and where the RAM
was assembled.

Let’s head to the next page where we
take a look at our testing methods and the review PC.
