UMTS – also called 3G – delivers high transfer speeds and makes it possible to watch TV on you mobile phone. The maximum download speed is 384 kbps (kilobytes per second), and the maximum upload speed is 64kbps. To use UMTS you will have to install a few settings during your first use. Some providers will send these settings in a text message. The settings for GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA are the same.
